9am: Member Appreciation Ride & BBQ The Farmington Valley Trails Council Board of Directors invites you to join us for our third Annual Membership Appreciation Ride and Cookout to be held at Tunxis Mead in Farmington. Last year’s event was a great success as we watched our members have an opportunity to get to know each other better after their rides. Whether you chose the 10 or 30 mile option or just take to the trail to do your own thing, when you get back you will find the members of the board there to greet you with smiles, food, drink and conversation. Every rider must be wearing a helmet. A $20 donation is requested per non-member rider. – Farmington

10am: Farmington’s Freedom Trail Tour The Farmington Historical Society offers an introductory lecture followed by a guided walking tour to the various sites throughout the village which were part of the Mendis stay in Farmington, as well as several sites which were part of the Underground Railroad. The introduction is presented by historical interpreter, Kim A. Silva, in English and American Sign Language. Prices are $5 per adult, $1 per child. First Church of Christ, Farmington
