6:30 – 8pm: Dinner and a Reading with Billy Collins This rare opportunity to share an intimate dinner with “the most popular poet in America” will occur the evening before his Festival appearance – an incredible way to celebrate the opening of the 25th Anniversary Poetry Season. 5 – 8pm: The author of ten collections of poetry, Billy Collins was Poet Laureate of the United States from 2001-03, and Poet Laureate of New York from 2004 to 2006. The evening will also feature a special reading by Connecticut State Poet Laureate Rennie McQuilkin and music by Plywood Cowboy.
