Some Bunny, Any Bunny?

In an effort to make every bunny’s life easier, we have created a central place to find all things bunny to do in Hartford County! Check back often as we update on the regular. If we missed an event, let this bunny know.

Daily through March 26th:

Monday – Saturday from 10am – 8pm and Sunday from 11am – 6pm: Photos with the Easter Bunny Stop by Bunnyville in Center Court and have your photo taken with the Easter Bunny March 4 – 26. Photo packages start at just $22. West Farms Mall, West Farms.

Monday – Friday from 11am – 8pm and Saturday – Sunday from 11am – 6pm: Photos with the Easter Bunny Hop on over to visit with the Easter Bunny! Pre-order photos to get double the prints and save. See the Easter Bunny the smart way! Save over 30% on your photo package by pre-purchasing online. Plus, save even more when you make a reservation to visit before March 24. Photo purchase and reservations are not required to visit the Easter Bunny. Friday, March 25, Saturday, March 19 and 26 extended hours from 10am – 9pm. The Easter Bunny may take occasional carrot breaks. Pet Nights: Monday, March 14 and 21 from 5pm – close. Cats and dogs only, please. The Shoppes at Buckland Hills, Manchester.

Saturday, March 12th:

11am: Too Many Carrots Storytime When Rabbit collects too many carrots which leave him unable to sleep in his cozy burrow, other animals offer to share their homes. Will Rabbit make his way back? Join us to find out at a special Storytime featuring Too Many Carrots. Activities and coloring to follow. Barnes & Noble, Farmington, Canton, West Hartford, Glastonbury, Manchester and Enfield.

2:30 – 4:30pm: Happy Bunny Bring your kids for a step-by-step painting class along with music and lots of fun. We provide all of the paint and supplies you’ll need to make your masterpiece. The background and heart leaf colors of this fun and whimsical tree can be unique for each painting. Family members joining us can each leave with a unique creation and have a series of tree paintings of various colors to display at home. Our teaching artist will guide you, step-by-step, through the painting and will make sure that you stay on track and complete your masterpiece by the end of class. Our goal is for you to have fun, relax and enjoy – and our teaching artists love to help you make the painting uniquely yours! Doors open at 2pm, instruction begins at 2:30pm. Monday, March 14th:

4:30 – 6pm: Easter Egg Dying, Basket Decorating and Egg Hunt! Ages 3 – 10. Drop-off. The Little Green Tambourine, Canton.

Friday, March 18:

9:30 -10:30am and 11:30am -12:30pm: Happy Easter! Toddler Class! It’s that time of year again! Kids will decorate bunny cookies and dye Easter eggs. Each child will also make a recycled bird house to take home! Ages 2-5. Reoccurs on Tuesday, March 22. $15 per child (must be accompanied by an adult) Stew Leonard’s, Newington.

6 – 8pm: Happy Easter! It’s that time of year again! Kids will bake and decorate bunny cookies, make chocolate bird nests, and dye Easter eggs. Each child will also make a recycled bird house to take home! Ages 6-12. $25 per child. Stew Leonard’s, Newington.

6:30 – 8pm: Flashlight East Egg Hunt Hop to it. For an Easter Egg Hunt in the dark! Bring the children and a flashlight to the Flashlight Egg Hunt and search for all of the eggs and candy. All children ages 1-12 are welcome. Enjoy an evening filled with joy, arts & crafts and games. Bring your own camera and get your picture with the Easter Bunny! Town Green, Windsor.

Saturday, March 19:

8 – 11am: Breakfast with the Bunny Ticket price includes: Breakfast Buffet, $5 Power Card, and visit with the Easter Bunny! $17.99 per person. Dave & Buster’s, Manchester.

8am – 12pm: Pancake Breakfast with the Bunny The Easter Bunny is hopping his way to the South Windsor Fire Department to make one of his final public appearances before the big day. In addition to a free picture with the Easter Bunny, there will be face painting, kids’ crafts and more. The event is sponsored by the South Windsor Jaycees. South Windsor Fire Department, South Windsor.

9am and 10:30am: Bunny Breakfast Join the team at Stew’s for a special Bunny Breakfast hosted by the Easter Bunny and his friends! Stew Leonard’s chefs will offer a breakfast of seasonal fruit, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, french toast sticks with syrup, assorted bagels, doughnut holes, and juice and coffee. Each child will receive a complimentary copy of Stewie the Duck Learns to Swim, Easter coloring sheets, and will be able to take a photo with the Easter Bunny. Reservations for the Bunny Breakfast must be made in advance at Customer Service. Adults and children age 12 and over will be charged $9.99/each and children age 11 and younger will be charged $7.99/each. Stew Leonard’s, Newington.

11am: When Spring Comes Storytime Spring is in the air … you can smell it, hear it and feel it – and you can read it! Join us to celebrate spring’s arrival featuring the title When Spring Comes. Activities will round out the fun. Barnes & Noble, Farmington, Canton, West Hartford, Glastonbury, Manchester and Enfield.

11am – 12pm: Baby’s First Easter Event Bring your baby in a cute Easter outfit & enjoy activities, giveaways, photo-op fun & more! Plus, learn creative ways to build baby’s first Easter basket. Sponsored by Pampers. Select Babies R Us locations.

1 – 3pm: Easter Egg Canvas Bring your little makers to this family-friendly Easter event to create a one-of-a-kind mixed media art piece. Buy the canvas and the rest of the supplies are free. Michaels Locations.

6 – 7:30pm: Easter Workshop Join us for our Easter workshop! This workshop will be held in 30 minute intervals. Each child will decorate Easter themed cookies. In addition, kids will be able to design and dye Easter eggs to take home. Ages 2-12.  $10 per child. Stew Leonard’s, Newington.

Sunday, March 20th:

10 – 11:30: Mommy and Me Easter Egg Dying, Basket Decorating and Egg Hunt. All ages. $35. The Little Green Tambourine, Canton.

1pm: Spring Baking Spring is in the air, and that brings out the baker in all of us. We’ll whip up some sweet treats that will make wonderful additions to your springtime gatherings. We’ll also share tips and tricks that will take your baking skills to the next levels. Time can vary per location. Williams Sonoma Stores.

Monday, March 21:

5 – 8pm: Pet Nights Do you want your pet to have a picture with the Easter Bunny? Here is your chance. Cats and dogs only, please. The Shoppes at Buckland Hills, Manchester.

Tuesday, March 22:

4 – 5:30pm: Easter Extravaganza Children age 8 and under will be given a map of Stew Leonard’s and a bag to collect Easter treats from costumed characters throughout the store, including Wow the Cow, Cynthia Chick, and Daphne Duck among others. Each child will receive prizes ranging from candy and board games to toys and gift cards.  One lucky child will win the Extravaganza’s top prize: a $200 gift card to Toys R Us! Parents please note: some of the candy included in the eggs may contain peanuts. After the Extravaganza is complete, parents are invited to take photos of their children with the Easter Bunny. The Easter Extravaganza is free to the community. Stew Leonard’s, Newington.

Friday, March 25th:

9 – 11:30am: Imperial Oil and Plumbing Egg Hunt 9am is for special needs participants. 10am for 2 year olds, 10:15am for 3 year olds, 10:30am for 4 year olds, 10:45am for kids in kindergarten, 11am for kids in first grade and 11:15am for kids in second grade. This is a free event! Please bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to South Windsor’s Food Bank. South Windsor High School, South Windsor.

10am – 1pm: Easter Egg Hunt Join us for an egg hunt!  Hunt for hidden eggs and trade them in for a prize!  Children’s activities, a small petting farm and games are all included in the admission price.  This is a candy-free event! $5 per child. Barnes Nature Center, Bristol.

11am – 1pm: Easter Egg Hunt & Easter Bunny Visit Children ages 1-10 are invited to participate. One adult is permitted to assist children ages 1-6. Limit of five eggs per child; parents are requested to monitor, observe and take photos, but encourage the kids to find eggs on their own. All participants need to bring their own bag/basket; strollers will not be allowed in the designated egg hunt areas. The Easter Egg Hunt is free with a paid admission. In addition to the Easter Egg Hunt, visit with the Easter Bunny and pose for pictures from 11am to 3pm. A variety of activities will be offered including hands-on Build and Fly Challenges, open cockpit experiences aboard real aircraft, aircraft quests, and more! The Museum’s Flight Sim Spot will also be open between 11am and 3pm. The Flight Sim Spot allows visitors to use state-of-the-art simulators using real cockpit controls and is suitable for ages 10 and up. The Museum’s Ercoupe full-motion flight simulator built from a real aircraft will also be open between 11am and 3pm. In addition, docents will be on hand to interact with the visitors. Friday, March 25 – Sunday, March 27:

Friday- Saturday from 10am – 4pm and Sunday from 1 – 4pm: Eggs, Eggs & more Eggs! Scavenger Hunt Spring is the season of eggs – bird eggs, frog eggs, turtle eggs, fish eggs!Help us find them and learn about the animals that laid them.We have scattered egg clues around the trail (if weather permits) or inside the Nature Center for you to find. Scavenger Hunt Map will be sold in Nature Center Store for $2 plus admission to the Nature Center. No need to pre-register. Roaring Brook Nature Center, Canton.

Saturday, March 26:

10am – 4:30pm: Easter Bunny Fun Day Come and meet the Easter Bunny. How about an Easter Egg with a surprise and create a small craft. Have your face painted or a tattoo perhaps. Try our the bubble and train tables. Ride the trolleys! Children under 2 are $3, Children ages 2-12 are $8, adults $10. Admission includes trolley rides. CT Trolley Museum, Windsor.
