Friday – Sunday: (Friday/Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 2pm) Is He Dead? The first major production in Connecticut!  Starving artist Jean-François Millet is an amazingly talented painter, but, like all living geniuses, his work is unappreciated.  Scheming with the help of his colleagues, he stages his own death in order to increase the value of his paintings.  The big question:  if he’s dead, how can he collect his riches? The answer:  Put on a dress and return as his sister, of course! This fast-paced comedy by the granddaddy of American Humor, Mark Twain, is a combination of the Marx Brothers, Three Stooges and RuPaul’s Drag Race.  Premiered almost 100 years after Twain’s death, this “new” show is incredibly ironic! Seating is limited. Katy Lee is the author of five published novels. 10:00 am – 4:00 pm: Open Cockpit The Air Museum is holding another of our popular open cockpit days on Sunday, February 15. Museum visitors will be permitted to climb into the cockpits of up to eight vintage aircraft, a full-motion flight simulator and one static flight simulator. The open cockpits include: the Vietnam era Bell UH-1B “Huey” helicopter, the North American F-100 Super Sabre jet fighter, the Coast Guard HU-25 Falcon, the Lockheed F-104C Starfighter and more.Museum educators will provide hands-on activities for younger visitors and the Museum’s Flight Sim Spot full-flight simulator experience will be available throughout most of the day. The event will be held inside the Museum’s three large, heated display hangars. Aviation Alive: Red Haired Flying Daredevil An original play by Alison Moncrief Bromage about the Connecticut aviation pioneer and daredevil Charles Hamilton will be preformed at the Air Museum. Performances will by as 11:30 am and 1:30 pm Admission is $12 for ages 12 and up and $6.50 for ages 4 to 11. Children under 3 are admitted free. Windsor Locks, CT.

1:00pm: Birds are descendants of dinosaurs. Come and meet some relatives of dinosaurs during a visit from Horizon Wings, a non-profit wildlife rehabilitation center. Learn what it takes to be president of the United States and make a craft honoring Abe Lincoln or George Washington in celebration of President’s Day! What would you do if you were president? 10:00 am – 4:00 pm: Wondering how to entertain your children on President’s Day? Bring them to Candle-Dipping at Windsor Historical Society. We’ll provide different colors to make each candle unique.  The Society’s Hands-On-History Learning Center will be open where children can try on reproduction colonial clothing, try out a child-sized rope bed, or “milk” Flavia the cow. Use your engineering skills to build a toothpick-and-marshmallow replica of the Strong-Howard House or get creative and design a structure of your own. Take a Scavenger Hunt through our main exhibit galleries, try out the replica Native American canoe, and watch a working model of the Windsor Locks Canal.
