The New Children’s Museum | West Hartford | Free admission for Military (active and retired) and 1/2 off of each guest they bring on Veteran’s Day. Must present military ID.

Connecticut Science Center | Hartford | The Connecticut Science Center will be open 10am–5pm on Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11. We will honor our veterans with free General Admission for retired and active duty military personnel all day; we’re offering their families 50% off General Admission too! Kids under 3 are always free!

Imagine Nation Museum | Bristol | We will be open, up, and running on all cylinders for you to come with your family to enjoy celebrations of Veteran’s Day!

Bounce U | Rocky Hill | Kids for Kids Food Drive | For every non-perishable food item you bring to Bounce U on Veteran’s Day you will receive $1 off of your admission price for Open Bounce, up to $4 per bouncer. Open Bounce times: 9-10:30am, 12:30-2:00pm, 3:30-5pm and 5:00-6:30pm. Space is limited. Call to make a reservation. $10.95 per bouncer.

Jump-N-Jamin | Bristol | 10am-12pm, 1:30-7pm Members of the military receive $3 off of the jump rate.

Stew Leonard’s | Newington | 11am – 1pm Veteran’s Day Basket Challenge | This is the perfect activity for your budding chef. We will present your child with a basket filled with a variety of ingredients, and challenge them to use their imagination to create a tasty main course and a delicious dessert. Stew Leonard’s very own chefs will be on hand to assist the children. Children ages 10 and up. $25 per child.

National Iwo Jima Memorial | New Britain | On Veterans Day, November 11, there will be a memorial celebration at the National Iwo Jima Memorial. Beginning at 11 am, presentations about the lives of CT servicemen killed in action at the Battle of Iwo Jima will be followed by wreath laying, rifle salute, and taps by the Marine Corps League. Members of the Iwo Jima Foundation will also be on hand from 9 am – 3 pm to welcome visitors and provide information about Iwo Jima survivors. There will be displays of memorabilia and items for sale and giveaways.

On Veterans Day, November 11, every National Park Service entrance fee will be waived for everyone to commemorate the service of U.S. Armed Forces veterans.

On Tuesday, November 11, Starbucks is thanking all veterans, active duty service members and spouses with a free tall (12 fl oz) hot brewed coffee. At participating Starbucks® stores. Limit one per customer.

Every Veterans Day, Applebee’s invites vets and active duty military to come have a meal on us. It’s our way of saying thanks for their service. But, really, every day is an opportunity to say thank you. So, join us in our Thank You Movement to personally show your gratitude for those who have served, or are currently serving, in our military.
